Senior Military Leaders Who Still Inspire Their Subbordinates.

Leadership is a trait not common to all some have an inherent instinct and are driven to; while others are cultivated through years of disciplined training, some have borne the scars of battle and distinguished themselves to be worthy. Many have had the honor and privilege to lead Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen; it is but a small few which are revered by their subordinates long after their service is completed. A key factor in this professional relationship is the manner in which leaders view and understand their subordinates. Good Leader’s lead Great Leaders inspire. Those Leaders who inspired their subordinate develop professional relationships which transcend military service; establishing revered relationships which will last a lifetime. The men and women list below are just such leaders. Those embraced the responsibilities of command as more than a term of employment and established a camaraderie which extends beyond their subordinates military years of service. This group of Senior Leaders refused to forget the soldiers they once led and continue to inspire them today. They offer OVP and our staff the opportunity to leverage our message through their networks to reach an ever growing community of Veterans. Their shared networks increase our efficiency and effectiveness by eliminating redundancies which consume considerable resources which better serve Veterans in need. Their efforts only strengthen the post service relationship and reinforce the sentiments of the Troops they once led. Join these Great Inspirational Leaders in the effort to improve the lives and circumstances of a group of men and women who have sacrificed so much so that we sleep safely and live free.

The NCO Corp, Non Commissioned Officer, is referred to as the back bone of the Military. Truer were never written.  While it is the Officers Privilege to command in battle, the day to day routine and mundane responsibilities of mentoring, training and developing soldiers falls squarely upon the soldiers of the NCO Corp. They are referred to by different titles depending upon the branch, but regardless if they are Sergeant, Chief, or Gunny the role they play in the development of soldiers is no different. This Corp, this special group of men and women take those who once green, unskilled, untested and groom them to overcome any obstacle. While we Officers receive much glory for what is achieved upon the battlefield, nothing would have been possible without the guidance, skill and leadership in garrison of the dedicate men and women of the NCO Corp. For that and on behalf of all my fellow Officers, I submitted this small token of my greatest appreciation and admiration for your dedication, service and sacrifice; Because of you I was a better officer and a better citizen.
